1. The grievance of the petitioners appears to be (i) equal pay for equal work and (ii) regularization in service.
2. The petitioners were appointed on contractual basis. According to the respondents, the petitioners are appointed as MBBS candidates were not available. Reliance is placed on 1 ::: Uploaded on - 31/03/2023 ::: Downloaded on - 01/04/2023 09:29:57 ::: 19-WP-2274-2021 Government Resolution dated 26th May, 1981. According to the petitioners 25% post at the Primary Health Centres and Primary Health Units are to be filled in from BAMS doctors. According to Mr. Kulkarni, learned counsel for the petitioners, no post of BAMS doctor in the Primary Health Centres and Primary Health Units are filled in for more than 15 years.
3. The learned AGP seeks time to take instructions regarding the salary to be paid to the petitioners and also whether the posts were ever advertised for filling in from BAMS doctors in Primary Health Centres and Primary Health Units as contemplated under Government Resolution dated 26th May, 1981.
4. At the request of learned AGP, stand over to 26 th April, 2023.
