Section 9(1) in The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Act, 1995
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor in consultation with the Ministers from a panel of three names of eminent persons in the field of veterinary and animal sciences and allied sciences, elected by the Council in accordance with the system of simple majority of votes.
