Section 34(2) in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
(2)The Assam Agricultural University shall be responsible for the Agricultural Extension Education activities in the State necessary to provide information and demonstrate practically to farmers and cultivators the findings and development of Agricultural, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary research to improve rural living and to increase agricultural production with special emphasis on food production and utilisation.
