Section 15(2) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(2)Unless otherwise provided, the powers and duties of the Departmental Committee shall be-(a)to exercise general control on teaching and other educational programmes and to maintain and promote the standards thereof,(b)to discuss all matters related to instructional programmes,(c)to recommend nominees to the Faculty Council,(d)to formulate, modify or revise the curricula from time to time for undergraduate and post-graduate classes of the department and to propose to the Faculty Council concerned in this behalf.
