Section 34 in Andhra Pradesh Universities Act, 1991

34. Removal from membership of the University.

- The Academic Senate may on the recommendation of not less than two-thirds of the members of the Executive Council and by the votes of majority of the total membership of the Academic Senate and two-thirds of the members present and voting remove the name of any person from the register of graduates and remove any person from membership of any Authority of the University if he has been convicted by a court of law of what in the opinion of the Academic Senate is an offence involving moral turpitude or if he has been guilty of scandalous conduct, and for the same reasons may withdraw any degree or diploma conferred or granted by the University. The Academic Senate may also remove any person from the membership of any Authority of the University if he becomes of unsound mind or a deaf-mute or is suffering from leprosy or has applied to be, or is adjudicated as an insolvent.
