Section 9 in The U.P. Educational (General Education Cadre) Service Rules, 1992
9. Preferential qualification.
- A candidate who has-(i)the preferential qualification in respect of a post mentioned in Rule 8, or(ii)served in the territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or(iii)obtained a 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps,shall, other thing being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.
