1. Short title and commencement.-
(1)This Act may be called the Banking Companies (Amendment) Act, 1956 .(2)It shall come into force on such date 2 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2 to Amendments to the Banking Companies Act, 1949 . 2 to 13.[ Amendments to the Banking Companies Act, 1949 .] Rep. by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1960 (58 of 1960 ), s. 2 and Sch.
