90. Penalty for contravention of any lawful order.
- If any person wilfully contravenes any lawful order passed under this Act or obstructs any person from lawfully taking possession of any land under any of the provisions of this Act, he shall be punishable-with fine which may extend to [two thousand rupees] [Substituted for the words 'five hundred rupees' by section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Second Amendment Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1988).].
