Section 126(1) in The Navy (Pay And Allowances) Regulations, 1966
(1)Sailors, apprentices and boys shall draw full pay according to their rate from the date of their enrolment; boys selected at recruiting centres for employment as enrolled sailors shall be deemed to have joined the Indian Navy from the date of enrolment by the Officer-in-Charge of the recruiting party.
