Information sought:
The complainant has sought following information about Direct Recruitment of postal assistant & sorting assistant in post offices for the academic or financial year 2012-13
1. OMR answer sheets of all the candidates who have selected for paper II
2. Key answer for all the series question paper (i.e. A,B,C,D)
3. What is the cut off percentage of selected candidates from all categories?
4. And also OMR answer sheets of 6017638 & 6031233, OMR application holders - Santosh kumar & Shilpa respectively.
Grounds for the Complaint:
The CPIO has not provided the desired information.
Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:
The following were present Complainant: Absent Respondent: Mr. Govind Mohan Taneja CPIO The applicant was given an opportunity to participate in the hearing but he is absent. The CPIO stated that at the time the RTI application was received the examination/recruitment process was going on and the applicant was advised accordingly vide letter 09/09/2013.
Decision notice:
Hon'ble High Court of Rajasthan, Jaipur Bench in its decision dated 08/07/2014 [W.P. (C) 11708/2013 Shanu Goyal vs. State of Rajasthan and Ors] has held that an examining body is not liable to give any citizen information relating to the examination before the process is completed Page 1 of 2 as it would undermine the confidentiality of the exercise underway, apart from affecting third party rights.
The matter is closed.
