Section 6(16) in The M.P. Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1973
(16)to declare a Teaching Department of the University, School of Studies or College as autonomous College :Provided that the extent of the autonomy which such Teaching Department of the University, School of Studies or a College may have and the matters in relation to which it may exercise such autonomy, shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes;
