Section 42(1) in Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016
(1)There shall be a Board of University Departments and Interdisciplinary Studies to promote interdisciplinary education and research on campus and also network with national and international institutions and create an academic and research and development environment that allows free flow of ideas amongst several disciplines.
