Section 18(1) in Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (Licensing) Regulations, 2005
(1)The licence shall be valid for a period of twenty-five years from the date of its commencement unless it is revoked by the Commission.Provided that at the expiry of the term, the Commission may at its discretion and considering the interest of the public and after giving any member of the public an opportunity to file his objections, if any, extend the licence for such further period, with or without any modification of licence as the Commission may deem fit.
