Section 6(1) in The West Bengal Agricultural Credit Operations Act, 1973.
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, an agriculturist who seeks to obtain financial assistance from a credit agency for carrying out any agricultural purpose shall, by a declaration submitted in such form and in such manner as may be perscribed, mortgage or charge the land owned by him as security for such financial assistance.
