(1)If at an ordinary or casual election, no person is elected to fill a vacancy a fresh election shall be held on such day as the officer or authority authorized by the State Election Commissioner in this behalf, may fix.(2)The term of office of a member of a Gram Panchayat elected under this section shall expire at the time at which it would have expired if he had been elected at the ordinary or casual election, as the case may be.
