57. Vice-Chancellor and other officers to be public servants.
- The Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Finance Officer and other employees of the University, shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions of this Act, statutes, ordinances or regulations, to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860).
