Section 22(7) in First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, 2018
(7)Head of a Department shall be appointed by the Director from amongst the Professors and Associate Professors of the said Department of the institute. in the case of Centres of Research, the Head shall be appointed from amongst the Professors and Associate Professors and Research Scientists or Engineers of the concerned Centre.
