Section 17(1) in Assam Opium Prohibition Act, 1947
(1)The provisions in Chapter V of this Act shall, in so far as they are applicable, apply to all proceedings under Section 16 and if upon such inquiry the Magistrate is satisfied that it is necessary to extern the person in respect of whom the inquiry is made, he shall make an order accordingly.
