Section 12(1)(c) in The Juvenile Justice (Punjab) Rules, 1987

(c)the clothing, bedding or other articles of such juvenile shall be destroyed if the Superintendent considers it essential on hygienic grounds or considers to be worthless, or the clothing and bedding and the articles of juvenile found to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease shall be burnt;
