Section 68(1) in The M.P. Vanijyik Kar Niyam, 1995
(1)Every dealer liable to pay tax under the Act shall maintain correct accounts of his purchases, sales and stocks in respect of different kinds of goods subject to different rates of tax under the Act and every manufacturer liable to pay tax under the Act shall maintain correct day to day accounts of his purchases, sales and stocks in respect of raw materials and finished goods :Provided that the dealer licensed under Section 18 shall not be required to maintain any accounts in respect of any goods mentioned in Schedules I and IV.
