Section 9 in The Maharashtra Chit Funds Rules, 1976
9. Date of effect of amendment to or cancellation of by-laws.
- An amendment to or cancellation of a by-law of a chit shall not take effect from a date earlier than the date of registration of such amendment or cancellation unless otherwise ordered by the Registrar [for reasons to be recorded in writing] [Inserted by G. N. of 6.10.1977.] :Provided that, the Registrar shall not give effect to the amendment or cancellation from a date earlier than the date for application of the registration of the amendment or cancellation of the by-law as the case may be.
