Section 264(1) in Rules of the High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, 1952
(1)If the evidence of a witness is not taken or completed on the first day on which he attends the Court in obedience to a summons, the party summoning him shall before 4 P.M. on that day deposit with the cashier an amount sufficient to enable the witness to attend on the subsequent day and if on such subsequent day also his evidence is not taken or completed a similar procedure shall be followed:Provided that the party may if it so desires make payment to the witness direct in the presence of the Court or the Deputy Registrar and file the receipt in Court.
