Section 72(3) in Goa Co-operative Societies Rules, 2003
(3)Where a poll becomes necessary, the Returning Officer shall consider the choice of symbols expressed by the contesting candidates in their nomination papers and shall,-(i)allot a different symbol to each contesting candidate in conformity, as far as practicable, with his choice; and(ii)if more than one contesting candidate have indicated their preference for the same symbol, decide by lot and such allotment shall be final.
