26. Thermometers to be maintained in efficient order.
- Each thermometer shall be maintained at all times during the period of employment in efficient working order, so as to give accurate indications and in Particular :-(a)the wick and the muslin covering the wet bulb shall be renewed once a week;(b)the reservoir shall be filled, with water which shall be completely renewed once a day. The Chief Inspector may direct the use of distilled water or pure rain water in any Particular mill or mills in certain localities;(c)no water shall be applied directly to the wick or covering during the period of employment.
