Section 14(1) in The Bangalore Metro Railway (Opening of Public Carriage for Passengers) Rules, 2011
(1)For the purpose of rule 13, the Commissioner shall examine at least one bridge or viaduct of each different pattern or type, as the case may be, and satisfy himself about the adequacy with reference to the safety of-(a)the general design of the bridge or viaduct;(b)designs of different parts or portions of the bridge or viaduct;(c)the construction and erection of the whole structure of the bridge or viaduct;(d)steel girder spans and their bedding at all supports; and(e)type and design of the pre-stressed concrete bridges or viaducts including their bearings.
