Section 12(a) in The Chota Nagpur Tenancy Act, 1908
(a)shall endorse or annex, or cause to be endorsed or annexed, on or to the original process, a return stating the time when and the manner in which the process was served and the names and addresses of the persons (if any) who identified the person served and witnessed the delivery of tender of the process, and
