Section 217(1) in The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
(1)An employee of a Panchayat aggrieved by an order involving punishment imposed on him by the Panchayat may, within the prescribed period prefer an appeal, -(a)in the case of Gram Panchayat to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer;(b)in the case of Panchayat Samiti, to the Deputy Commissioner ; and(c)in the case of Zila Parishad to the Commissioner.
