(2)The [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws order, 1950] Government may, by similar notification, appoint a person to be the Assistant Registrar of Unions for any local area and may, by general or special order, confer on such person all or any of the powers of the Registrar of Unions under this Act.
