By way of the instant writ petition, the petitioner has sought waiver of the fixed monthly charges/demand charges, charged in the bill for the lock­down period and the period following thereto.

2. Mr. Vikrant Thakur, learned counsel for the respondents, submitted that in terms of Section 42 (6) of the .

Electricity Act, 2003, there is an efficacious alternative remedy available to the petitioner.

3. In view of the fact that the petitioner is having an efficacious alternative remedy, the writ petition is disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority under the Act for redressal of its grievances by way of filing representation within a period of two weeks from today.

4. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of accordingly.
