(1)The Indian Fisheries Act, 1897 (4 of 1897), in its application to the State of Gujarat is hereby repealed.(2)Notwithstanding repeal of the said Act, anything done or any action taken (including any rule or order made, notification issued or appointment made) by or under the said Act shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been made or taken by or under this Act and shall continue in force until superseded by anything done or any action taken under the provisions of this Act.
