Section 23(5) in The Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964
(5)[Part III] of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (Central Act 37 of 1952), as in force in the Coorg District;are hereby repealed.Provided that section 6 of the Karnataka General Clauses Act, 1899 (KarnatakaAct 3 of 1899), shall be applicable in respect of such repeal and sections 8 and 24 of the said Act shall be applicable as if the said enactments had been repealed and re-enacted by this Act.
