Section 62(2) in Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946

(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the parties to any industrial dispute may in any case agree to extend the period fixed for the completion of any stage of a conciliation proceeding by any further period and such further period shall be excluded in computing the period of time limit referred to in the said sub-section:[ Provided that the total period fixed for the completion of conciliation proceeding including the period of extension mutually agreed to by the parties shall not exceed one year:Provided further that the State Government may extend the said period of one year by a further period of a month at a time but not exceeding in any case two months in the aggregate.][(3) Where a Conciliator or a Board refers under section 61a question of law to the Industrial Court for its decision, the period commencing from the date of such reference to the date of communication of the decision of the Industrial Court to the Conciliator or the Board, as the case may be, shall be excluded in computing the time limit referred to in sub-section (1)].
