3. Establishment and incorporation of University.
(1)There shall be established and incorporated a University by the name of the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gujarat'.(2)The Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, the members of the General Council, the Executive Council and the Academic Council, Registrar and all other persons who may hereafter become such officers so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of 'the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gujarat'.(3)The University shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid, having perpetual succession and common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire and hold property, to contract and shall, by the said name, sue and be sued.(4)In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleading shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all processes in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to, and served on, the Registrar.
