Section 27(1) in The Alipurduar University Act, 2018
(1)There shall be the following Faculty Councils for Post-graduate Studies:-(a)the Faculty Council for Post-graduate Studies in Arts, Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Traditional Art Forms;(b)the Faculty Council for Post-graduate Studies in Science, Technology and Vocational Studies;(c)the Faculty Council for Post-graduate Studies in Law, Education, Journalism and Mass Communication, Library Science and Physical Education;(d)the Faculty Council for Post-graduate Studies in Commerce and Management;(e)such other Faculty Councils for Post-graduate Studies as may be determined by the Executive Council, from time to time.
