FACTS :
By his letter of 18.10.2008, the appellant had sought information regarding the details of pay and leave etc in respect of No. 294937 Warrant Officer, Shaligram Singh. The CPIO had refused to disclose this information vide letter dated 1.12.2008 on the ground of this being third party information. However, the Appellate Authority had reversed the decision of CPIO vide order dated 5.2.2009 and directed the CPIO to provide information which was more than 20 years old in terms of section 8 (3) of the RTI Act. Pursuant thereto, the CPIO had complied with the order of Appellate Authority vide letter dated 22.1.2009.
2. Heard on 12.11.2009. Appellant not present. The public authority is represented by the officers named above. It is noticed that the appellant had filed the present appeal on 21.3.2009, that is, before he was provided information by CPIO in April, 2009. The factual matrix has undergone a change since then inasmuchas the requisite information has since been provided to the appellant.
DECISION
3. In view of the above, the appeal has become infructuous and is dismissed.
