Section 19(2) in The Multi-State Co-Operative Societies Rules, 2002
(2)The election of the members of the board referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be conducted by secret ballot in the manner as specified in the schedule attached with these rules.[Provided that the Board shall appoint the returning officer from the panel of names/ panel of designated officers maintained by the Central Registrar for this purpose.Provided also that, nothing contained in the first proviso shall affect the appointment of returning officer made prior to the date of publication of this notification and such returning officer shall complete the election process as if this notification has not been issued.] [Inserted by Notification No. G.S.R. 931(E), dated 2.12.2019 (w.e.f. 2.12.2002).]
