Section 1 in The Bombay Electricity (Special Powers) Act, 1946
1. Short title, extent [and commencement]. - (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Electricity ([Special] Powers) Act, 1946.
[(2) It extends to the whole of the [State of Gujarat]].(3)It shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1946 [in the [Bombay area of the State of Gujarat]; and in that part of the State of Bombay to which it is extended by the Bombay Electricity (Special Powers) (Extension and Amendment) Act, 1958 (Bombay II of 1959), it shall come into force on such other date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint).[***]
