12. Chancellor.
(1)The Governor of the State of Gujarat shall be the Chancellor of the University.(2)The Chancellor shall, by virtue of his office, be the head of the University and the Chairperson of the Board and shall, when present, preside at the meetings of Board and at any convocation of the University.(3)The Chancellor shall have such other powers as may be conferred on him by this Act or the Statutes.
