Section 2 in West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 2006
2. The Bill, therefore, among others, envisages-
(a) to usher in vibrant and democratic functions of Co-operative societies,(b) to make Co-operative societies more self reliant and more autonomous in their functioning,(c) to provide for more transparent and efficient management in the Co-operative societies.
