ORDER
1. The applicant has submitted that he himself purchased one unpackaged chilled water can from a dealer named Chandrabhaga Corporation at Tathawade, Pune and got it tested and examined from a reputed laboratory and it was opined that the water in the said plastic can/jar is not potable.
2. In light of above facts, he has made a prayer to issue direction to Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) to examine and close down all Cool Water Can Chilled Water Jar Units (Plants) in Nagpur, Pune and Maharashtra which are in existence and doing water 1 selling business without obtaining consent to operate from MSPCB and without following the directions issued therein.
3. In light of above facts mentioned above, we deem it just and appropriate to direct Chief Secretary and Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board (PCB) to call a report from the concerned districts, process it and submit factual and action taken report within two months.
4. Let the report in the matter be filed by Maharashtra State PCB by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/ OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF.
5. The necessary documents be provided to the Chief Secretary and Maharashtra State PCB by the applicant.
6. List it on 19.10.2020.
