Section 2(10)(g) in The U.P. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1968

(g)"Central Society" or "Central Co-operative Society" means a co-operative society, which has any other co-operative society as its ordinary member and which does not come under the category of a primary co-operative society;

(gg)[ "Block Unions" means a co-operative society the area of operation whereof is only part of a district and the primary object whereof is to arrange for the storage and distribution of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural appliances or consumers goods and the membership whereof includes any other co-operative society as its ordinary member;] [Inserted by Notification No. 3815/C-1-77-(5)-1977, dated 24-12-1977.]
