Section 40 in The U.P. Regulation of Cold Storages Act, 1976
40. Power of Licensing Officer.
- The Licensing Officer may,-(a)require any licensee to furnish such information as he may specify in respect of the cold storage owned or run by such licensee;(b)enter upon and inspect or cause to be inspected any cold storage, its machinery and equipment, goods stored therein, and the account books and records relating thereto, for the purpose of satisfying himself that the requirements of this Act and the rules made thereunder are being complied with;(c)collect samples of agricultural produce stored in any cold storage and get them analysed, examined or tested in any laboratory selected for the purpose.
