Section 3(xi) in Indian Institutes of Management Rules, 2018
(xi)The special session of the Board of Governors to consider the agenda for removal of the Chairperson shall be convened by the Secretary to the Board of Governors on receipt of a Notice to the effect from not less than one third members of the Board.
