Section 585(1) in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003
(1)If it appears to the Commissioner that the water in any well, tank or other place is likely, if used for drinking, to endanger or cause the spread of any infectious disease, he may, by public notice, prohibit the removal or use of the said water for the purpose of drinking.
