101. Validity of certificates issued under laws other than this Act.-
(1)Every certificate issued in respect of any person or vessel, under any other enactment in force in India, by the Central Government, shall be valid and effective as a certificate issued under this Act and the relevant provisions of this Act shall apply in relation to such persons or vessel as they apply to, any person who has been issued with a certificate under Chapter VI or any mechanically propelled inland vessel registered, recognised or identified under this Act.(2)Notwithstanding anything contained herein, the State Government may impose additional conditions and requirements for the purpose of recognition of certificates as provided under sub-section (1).
