Section 70 in The Orissa Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 1989

70.

A Medical Officer or an approved practitioner possessing manufactured drugs under Rule 69, shall-
(1)Keep accounts of manufactured drugs received used and held in stock by him from time to time, in the form prescribed by the Licensing Authority. The accounts shall be plainly and correctly written up daily in books bound, paged and sealed with the seal of the Licensing Authority and shall show in each case of purchase, the date of purchase and the name and address of the person or firm from whom the purchase was made;
(2)Preserve the said accounts for not less than two years from the date of the last entry in the account book and shall produce them together with any manufactured drugs that may be in his possession at the time for inspection on demand by the Licensing Authority or any other officer duly authorised by him in this behalf;
(3)Furnish to the Licensing Authority or any other officer duly authorised by him in this behalf within a week after the end of each calendar year information regarding the purchase and consumption of manufactured drugs during the preceeding year and the stocks of manufactured drugs held by him on the last day of the year, in the form prescribed by Licensing Authority for the purpose.
