Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India
praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the
respondents to take appropriate administrative action to settle all
retirement benefits of the petitioner, such as monthly pension, pension
arrears, gratuity, commutation of pension etc with reference to the
pension payment order issued by the first respondent in PPO No.483
dated 12.02.2024.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to settle all his retirement benefits including monthly pension.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was appointed as Trained Graduate Teacher in an aided school, on 30.04.2022. He had attained the age of superannuation and he was permitted to retire from service without prejudice to the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner. Subsequently, the disciplinary proceeding was ended in favour of the petitioner and the petitioner is entitled for all retirement benefits. The first respondent also passed Pension Payment Order dated 12.02.2024 for release of Grant-in- Aid for payment of pension. However, the petitioner was not settled with other benefits.
4. In view of the above, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to settle the retirement benefits such as Gratuity, commutation of pension and Page 2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.20514 of 2024 arrears of pension to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
