Section 60(1) in The Delhi Development Authority Act, 1957
(1)As from the date of the constitution of the Authority - (a) the United Provinces Town Improvement Act, 1919 (U.P. Act VIII of 1919) shall cease to have effect in the [National Capital Territory of Delhi] [Substituted for "Union Territory of Delhi" by Act 36 of 1996 w.e.f. 21.12.1996.]; and(b)the Delhi (Control of Building Operations) Act, 1955 (53 of 1955), shall stand repealed.
