Section 1 in The Gujarat Prevention of Fragmentation and Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1947
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Bombay Prevention of Fragmentation and Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1947.(2)[ It extends to the whole of the [State of Gujarat] [This sub-section was substituted for the original by Bombay 61 of 1958, Section 3 (1).].(3)It shall come into force in such areas and on such date as the [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government may by notification in the Official Gazette direct.
