Section 8(1) in The Chennai Metro Railway (Carriage and Ticket) Rules, 2014

(1)Any person desirous of travelling on the metro railway shall, upon payment of fare, be issued with a ticket by the metro railway administration or an agent authorized in this behalf. For such travel, he shall be governed by the Business Rules of Metro Railway Administration.
